Volotea announces that it will open the Comiso-Lille route from April 8, 2025.
This new international route will create new growth opportunities for the entire territory. French visitors will be able to choose to visit southeastern Sicily to discover the beauties of a unique territory, a true treasure trove of historical and natural treasures, between the sea, nature reserves, Baroque towns, ancient villages, and UNESCO World Heritage sites!
Starting April 8th, we are ready to launch something new for Comiso Airport: a new international route will be operational under the Volotea brand. This way, all passengers departing from northern France will be able to take advantage of the opportunity to plan a vacation in southern Sicily, a region offering an incredible variety of discoveries, including historical, cultural, and gastronomic ones, not to mention the magnificent sea that characterizes this part of the island. Valeria Rebasti, Volotea's International Market Director, commented.
"The new international Comiso-Lille route, operated by Volotea, represents an important step in strengthening our airport's connection network with Europe," said Nico Torrisi, CEO of SAC, the company that manages Catania and Comiso airports.
This new route will strengthen the strategic role of Comiso Airport. The connection with Lille will provide a significant boost to inbound tourism, allowing a growing number of visitors to discover a unique region with an exceptional historical, artistic, and natural heritage.
