Ryanair has confirmed that, in response to tariffs imposed by US President Donald J. Trump, the possible aircraft they will purchase to expand their fleet is the Chinese Comac C919.

Ryanair CEO O'Leary said:
Because of the tariffs, Ryanair is no longer willing to buy Boeing so if the C919 was cheaper, 10-20% cheaper than an Airbus plane, then we would order it.
There is, however, a very small problem: the C919, at the moment, has only been certified by the CAAC , that is, the Civil Aviation Administration of China. Will Comac be able to land in the West too? We'll see. It is beyond doubt that it would be very interesting to see the interference of a third (uncomfortable) party in the eternal rivalry between Airbus and Boeing. In the meantime, there is already someone, like Ryanair, who would be ready to put down on paper an order worth several million euros.
Volerete (SE ENTRERÀ IN FLOTTA) sul C919?
No, non mi fido dei cinesi.
No, sono affezionato a Boeing.
No, solo Airbus e Boing (PER PRINCIPIO).
Si, sono sicuro che sia affidabile.
