✈️ BREAKING NEWS: ETNA SKY Launched, the Sicilian Low-Cost Airline Against High Fare

The Official Launch of ETNA SKY: Competitive Tickets Expected by Summer 2026

A breath of fresh air is blowing into the air transport sector in Sicily. ETNA SKY has been announced, a new low-cost and entirely "Made in Sicily" airline that promises to revolutionize connections to and from the island, openly challenging the high-fare phenomenon.

The initiative was made public by the deputy and founding partner Manlio Messina, who stressed that the company’s primary goal is to offer highly competitive prices. Specifically, the introduction of special and subsidized fares dedicated to Sicilian residents is planned, as they have been penalized for years by the high cost of tickets, especially during peak seasons.

The ETNA SKY project is ambitious and aims to be operational starting from Summer 2026, in time for the tourist season. Although precise operational details, such as the complete list of routes and the aircraft models that will make up the fleet, have yet to be finalized and communicated, the announcement marks an important step. Attention is now focused on finalizing the corporate structure and obtaining the crucial Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from ENAC.

This new player in the Italian aviation landscape, named ETNA SKY, is set to be a focal point of discussion for the entire sector, representing a concrete attempt to rebalance the flight market to and from Sicily.
